Raffle tickets on sale now for the great prizes to be won at the Big Meet-August 14th.
Please purchase your tickets soon. Let us know if you are able to sell a booklet. 1ticket for $2, 3 for $5 and 10 for $10.
Donation of Prizes Needed. If you have any hidden treasures that you no longer want, we will happily accept them for our raffle table. Please drop them off at the pool.

On July 31st Briarwood will be hosting the B-Synchro Prelims starting at 9:00AM; please help us to welcome the other pools by offering your services by either volunteering or baking. A sign up sheet is posted in the canteen.

Saturday August 7th 6:30PM- Adult Party, Mexican Theme. Tickets on sale at the Canteen. $15/per adult. A lovely mexican feast will be served. We are looking for dontions of dessert items. BYOB. Lots of fun and prizes! Bring some friends!

Feed the lifeguard week (officially) from August 9th to August 15th. Feel free to bring them food anytime, they are a lively bunch of youngsters who appreciate any donations!

BIG MEET- Saturday August 14th.... all day. We are in need of many volunteers to make this event run smoothly. It is an enormous honour to have been chosen to host this event and it could potentially raise a significant amount of money for our pool. Please make the time to help Briarwood, your community pool proud. Give generously of your time and offer to help and also to bake for our baked goods table. (If you will be out of town, we will accept frozen baked goods. Please speak with someone in the canteen.. we need your help!).
We are also need of donations for our raffle table. If you have any contacts and/or items that you can donate, please drop them off at the pool and/or pick up a letter at the canteen that you can submit to business' requesting donations. Every little bit helps!
The pool will close on Friday August 13th at 5:00PM and not reopen until Sunday August 15th. Both Versailles and PPK pools will welcome Briarwood members.

Keeping Fit;
If you want a fun way to exercise, you are welcome to join a group of enthusiastic parents Monday to Thursday mornings at 8:00AM for a brisk walk and 9:00AM for exercise under the trees. Bring a yoga mat and free weights and/or a resistance elastic.
This inititive is lead by one of our members (Karen B-D) who is a trained individual.

Awards Night will be held Wednesday August 25th.

Various Important Updates- July 22, 2010
Please note that the Starlight Swim-a-thon/ Sleepover will take place tomorrow night (July 23rd) beginning at 7:00PM. Pleadge sheets are available at the pool office. The minimum cost is $20 per child or $30 per family. Children under 12 MUST be accompagnied by an adult (parent). The pool will close at 7:00PM for free/adult swim. Versailles pool is open to Briarwood members. In case of rain, the swim-a-thon will still take place, but not the sleepover. Be sure to call or drop by the pool before packing your overnight bags and tent! The pool will close at 5:00PM for regular swimming, our members are being directed to Versailles pool.

Sunday July 25th at 2:00PM- Halloween in July, Fun Day will take place. Be sure to dress up and join the fun. A small cost of $2.00/per child will be collected to offset the cost of prizes.

A few important notices;

July 15th- weekly Pizza lunch. You must pre-order (in the canteen) in order to particpate. $3.00 for one slice, $4.00 for two slices, includes a drink and dessert.
Pre-teen dance 7:00-9:00PM (open to all children). Theme is "Outerspace". Admission is $2 with a costume and $3 without. Always a fun time for the kids.
(End of session 1 for lessons)
